With A-level students across the country eagerly awaiting their results on 16 August, University Campus Suffolk (UCS) is offering help and advice to those who want to know more about how to apply through Clearing.

Those who have not secured a place at a university, for whatever reason, can find vacancies on higher education courses and apply through the UCAS Clearing process. UCS currently has clearing staff available for students worried about their options to speak to in person, over the phone or by email.

There will be two open events held at the Ipswich Campus for those who want to find out more about places available at UCS this September. These are being held on Saturday 18 August, 10am-2pm and Wednesday 22 August, 4pm-7pm.

UCS Bury St Edmunds, based at West Suffolk College, will also be opening its doors for those looking to start a degree this September on Saturday 18 August, 10am-1pm.

Sarah Tattersall, Head of Student Recruitment at UCS, said: “We have places available on a wide range of programmes and our advisors are available to talk those considering higher education through their options. We understand that many potential students may worry about the cost of Higher Education but most students will not have to pay a penny upfront for the cost of their course and some will be eligible for additional support in the form of grants and bursaries that don’t have to be paid back.”

“If you’d like to discuss a course to suit you or to find out more about student support for those starting at UCS this September then please get in touch. We would be very happy to help.”

To find out more about clearing and what courses are available at UCS, call the Clearing Hotline on 01473 338352, email info (at) ucs (dot) ac (dot) uk or visit the UCS website.
