Over the weekend, Chicago hosted the third of fourteen Susan G. Komen 3-Day walks scheduled for 2012. A new feature for this year’s walks integrates the latest RFID technologies with social networking sites like Facebook to allow participants to automatically post updates as they reach different milestones along the course. “The great thing about the software is that it simultaneously connects walkers with their supporters while also raising awareness of a great cause,” says Dustin Sterkenburg, VP of Engineering at Qnectus. The next 3-Day walk starts this Friday in Detroit, MI.
