Tuesday, August 14th, two employees at Wine Rack Store. Admin Services Supervisor, Sidney Ray and Director of SEO and Communications, Heather Hoskins are taking the two hour trip from Olympia, Wash. down to Portland to participate in an SEO event.
Wine Rack Store has had its online presence since the early 1990s and the early days of internet shopping. In that time span the wine rack retailer has made many changes to its website, including its aesthetic end and its content. "Its always a challenge to keep up with Google," said Hoskins. Compared to it's retail counterparts like Overstock and Walmart, Wine Rack Store has found it necessary to continually revamp its web site to beat out its giant competitors and other small wine rack retailers alike.
"Our website content is of course a huge part of our business, but its even more important these days to stay on top of our social marketing as well," said Ray, who heads all of Wine Rack Stores social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. "It's becoming more and more important to make your mark on all aspects of the internet to make your presence known."
