Web HSP a veteran in the web hosting industry signed a new one year deal with Latisys to increase their hardware and colocation capabilities in the west. Web HSP has provided web hosting for over 10 years and this strategic move increases their capability while shortening the delivery time to their clients. The updated agreement focuses primarily on VPS hosting and the hardware requirements for virtualization.
Virtualization or VPS hosting has been the ideal platform for web hosts since it allows them to service a larger number of clients with less hardware. This is a great solution for the environment since it requires less energy and it’s more secure than traditional shared hosting accounts. VPS stands for Virtual Private Server and is a method of partitioning a server so that each partition is allowed to act as a virtual dedicated server. Each VPS instance runs its own operating system, has its own bandwidth, disk space and can be individually rebooted. VPS Hosting gives customers more independence than shared hosting services at lower costs than a physical dedicated server.
Web HSP spokesperson Doug Davis said, “This is a great deal for Web HSP and our clients as it ensures stability and added inventory so we can continue to expand. Our VPS solutions are readily available and the delivery time to clients has been reduced to minutes instead of hours.”
Web HSP is one of many web hosting companies that have been investing heavily in VPS. ITX Design another Virginia based web hosting provider recently launched their full line of VPS solutions. Their solutions are similar and both guarantee 100% uptime.
