On Saturday, November 3, BTF Concerts will present the second annual ROCK THE SCHOOLS CONCERT, an event that was created in 2011 to support and promote music programs in New York State schools. Due to the success of last year, the company has decided to broaden their reach and will support The Fender Music Foundation with proceeds. Live Nation is an official sponsor, and Z100 New York is a partner.
This intimate, acoustic show will be held at the Gramercy Theatre in NYC and will feature performances by Actress/Musician Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill), WAKEY!WAKEY!, Actor/Musician Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie films), Singer/Songwriter Teddy Geiger, Singer/Songwriter Matthew Perryman Jones, and Singer/Songwriter Matt Koziol. Singer/Songwriter Alexis Babini will be playing a few songs, and Actor/Musician Michael Lombardi (Rescue Me) will play an acoustic set with his band. The show will be co-hosted by Z100 New York On-Air Talent Trey Morgan with Host of Vh1’s Big Morning Buzz Live, Carrie Keagan.
“Every kid should have the opportunity with music that I had. We need to encourage students to pursue their passion for music by providing them with a path to explore their creativity. We’ve made it our goal to do what we can to preserve that path,” says Alaina Bendi, Partner at BTF Concerts and President at Promenade Music Entertainment.
A limited number of discount general admission tickets are available now at http://www.btfconcerts.com/tickets; There will be a pre-show VIP party for invitation only that includes priority admission to the concert, complimentary champagne, and the opportunity to mingle with the artist lineup, industry execs and some familiar faces from film and TV. Z100 New York, Vita Coco, Dream Water, Baked by Melissa and more will be on-site at the party.
