In addition to providing exceptional comfort, the use of cutting edge technology also enabled Dr. Sanderson to do large amounts of work at one time.

James L. Sanderson, Jr., DMD, has been practicing dentistry with magnification for over 28 years in Birmingham, Alabama. He has recently upgraded from a 5.0 magnification level to an innovative 20.0 magnification level Dental Operating Microscope. That combined with dental lasers and cone beam 3D imaging equipment for diagnostics, allows Dr. Sanderson to be much more precise in his diagnosis and treatment.

With a 20.0 magnification level, along with the shadow-less coaxial light source, the visual information is 400 times greater for a human eye allowing the dentist to see tremendous detail. The microscope also allows Dr. Sanderson to be more stable and to have better posture while treating patients. The result is higher efficiency. This ergonomically designed microscope, gives the dentist an upright position keeping the back straight and the arms resting comfortably.

For patients, the benefit of greater magnification is in the success rate. The procedure becomes easier on the patient, which in turn reduces their level of stress. An added bonus for patients comes in the form of video recording. Patients can watch on a video screen mounted to the ceiling their entire procedure, allowing the dentist to show and explain what he is doing and thus enhancing the dental relationship. “In addition to providing exceptional comfort, the use of cutting edge technology also enabled Dr. Sanderson to do large amounts of work at one time,” states Carla, a patient of Dr. Sanderson who needed complicated treatment.

Dr. James L. Sanderson has been practicing dentistry for 28 years. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he was a member of the 1978 National Championship Team. He also graduated from The University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham with a D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree. Dr. Sanderson is a member of The American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, The Academy of Laser Dentistry, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Alabama Dental Association, and The Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry.
