“The lightweight modularity of these string inverters allowed the entire PV portion of the installation using just a single installer,” says Renovo Power Systems’ VP of Operations Shane LaHousse

Both Solar Thermal (hot water) and Solar PV (electricity) are valuable assets to many businesses. Power Panel products provide both at one time and in one package. Renovo Power Systems Digiwatts PV inverters offers the latest digital (transformerless) approach to converting the electrical energy from these panels into useful AC electricity that both the business and utility can use.
One of the projects currently under way is the Arbor Brewing Company's Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti, MI. This installation will produce 16.5kW of electricity, which will be sold to the grid, in addition to 64.8kW of hot water, of which the energy will be transferred into the beer making process. Flexibility of Renovo Digiwatts multiple MPPTs allowed integration of multiple panel orientations while maximizing power output. “The lightweight modularity of these string inverters allowed the entire PV portion of the installation using just a single installer,” says Renovo Power Systems’ VP of Operations Shane LaHousse.
Renovo Digiwatts inverters were also chosen for the Power Panel Inc. factory demonstration system in Detroit. The flexibility of multiple MPPTs and a wide voltage operating range allowed the system to start small (2kw) and expand to a full 5kw later.
