The MU-10000H, Okuma’s largest 5-axis machine to date, is designed for ultra-challenging applications for aerospace machining, heavy equipment and other large parts.

Okuma America Corporation, a world leader in CNC machine tools, today announced the world debut of the MU-10000H, a new 5-axis, high-speed, horizontal machining center, to be shown for the first time at IMTS 2012 (Okuma Booth S-8500). The MU-10000H is Okuma’s largest and most agile CNC machine – designed for ultra-challenging applications for aerospace machining, heavy equipment and other large parts.

This workhorse 5-axis CNC machine delivers high torque and high-speed machining along with Okuma’s renowned high standards of design stability and accuracy. It provides users with a high-performance, long-lasting, and efficient horizontal machining center. Built on Okuma’s exclusive Thermo-Friendly Concept, the machine can run from a cold start because it resists thermal deformation, minimizing thermal growth.

Key Features of the MU-10000H:

  •     Large trunnion table with 1-meter-square pallet
  •     Workpiece Weight Capacity: 5,500 pounds
  •     Workpiece Size Capacity: 59.05” diameter by 44.29” high
  •     1416 maximum foot-pounds of torque (1,920 Nm) available from 50 RPM
  •     2 Pallet APC
  •     Standard with THINC® P200MA for seamless integration and rapid contouring
