Lake Oswego, Oregon (PRWEB) August 15, 2012
At Home Veterinary Services, a leading mobile veterinary practice for dogs and cats serving the Portland, Oregon metro area, is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Heather Dillon, DVM to the position of Associate Veterinarian. She will be begin accepting appointments on September 20, 2012.
After graduating in 1996 from Texas A&M University, Dr. Dillon spent a year completing an internship at Prince Edward Island University at the Atlantic Veterinary College. She then moved to Portland, Oregon where she has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1997 primarily at two clinics: Wilsonville Veterinary Clinic and, most recently, North Portland Veterinary Hospital. She has also spent time providing relief work at various clinics around the Portland metro area.
“I am very excited to have Heather join our team,” says Louise Mesher, DVM, principal veterinarian and owner of At Home Veterinary Services. Dr. Mesher and Dr. Dillon first met at the Atlantic Veterinary College and quickly discovered their common views about veterinary medicine. “I have absolute trust in Heather, her medicine, her compassion and empathy for clients and their pets. The times she has filled in for me in our practice, our clients have just loved her, and now she will be here full time. We couldn't be happier, and are very excited to have her with us.”
Dr. Mesher, who started At Home Veterinary Services in July 2008, is focused on providing an intimate and personal veterinary experience for pet owners and their pets throughout the Portland metro area. With the popularity of the practice growing - resulting in a top three Portland veterinarian “Top Dog” award from Spot Magazine - Dr. Mesher has been searching for the perfect associate for her practice. Dr. Dillon is a natural fit for the position, and has very similar medical and client service philosophies.
Dr Dillon loves the relationships that can develop between the veterinarian and her clients and patients. “In a house call, it is even more profound”, she says. “Clients have my undivided attention and I can get a much deeper understanding of what is happening with the pet.” Ensuring that animals have the most comfortable medical experience possible is a goal to which Dr. Dillon is ardently devoted, which fits perfectly into At Home Veterinary Services.
