Named Top Doc in 2011, by Mainline Today, Dr. Walsh has successfully been treating non-operative orthopaedic injuries at Orthopaedic Specialists for the last ten years in Bryn Mawr, Devon and Newtown Square. Now, Walsh is venturing on to open Main Line Sports Medicine as a new, unique medical practice that treats the entire spectrum of non-operative orthopaedic and sports injuries.
Main Line Sports Medicine will have a very strong patient-focus with longer scheduled office visits to ensure the patient gets the most out of it and the injury is treated to the fullest. “Our philosophy is to provide quality, patient-centered care,” states Walsh. “We believe that taking the time to understand how injury affects the entire individual is the key to recovery.”
Privy to all types of injuries,Walsh specializes in concussion management and has a keen interest in disorders related to running. He provides non-operative treatment for the entire spectrum of orthopaedic injuries, and performs video gait analysis and custom foot orthotic fabrication on-site.
Dr. Walsh is also one of the few physicians in the Philadelphia area who is trained in Prolotherapy - dextrose injection treatments for chronic pain syndromes. He also performs PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) injections for acute and chronic injuries.
In opening Main Line Sports Medicine, Walsh is joined by colleague, Mike Duncan, M.D. who shares his same values in patient-care and understanding. Duncan’s practice centers on the overall health of patients at all levels of competition. His interests include acute musculoskeletal injuries, chronic overuse injuries, as well as injury prevention.
Conveniently located in the Main Line Health and Fitness building in Bryn Mawr, Main Line Sports Medicine provides an environment of overall health, fitness and wellness. There is direct access to physical therapy, nutrition consultation, personal training, massage therapy, and fitness training.

About Dr. Kevin Walsh M.D.
Having graduated from Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Walsh completed his residency in Family Medicine at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware. He then received his Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine after completing a fellowship at Healthplex Sports Medicine of Crozer-Keystone Health System. For the last 10 years. Dr. Walsh has been treating non-operative orthopaedic injuries on the Main Line.
Currently, Dr. Walsh serves as the Head Team Physician for Rosemont College, Malvern Preparatory School, and Upper Merion High School as well as the Villanova University's Women's Basketball Team. He also teaches sports medicine to the Family Practice residents at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
