US Mixed Martial Arts Team Selected For Historic China Vs USA Super Fight At Foxwoods MGM Grand on Sept 15th

The World Cup of Mixed Martial Arts (WCMMA™) and The World Mixed Martial Arts Championship (WMMAC) announced the three MMA athletes who will be representing the USA in the first ever Super Fight Series against a Team from China on Saturday, September 15th at Foxwoods Resort Casinos' MGM Grand Theater.

the first ever Super Fight Series against a Team from China . . . the winners will qualify to defend their belts globally, beginning with title fights scheduled this winter in Shanghai, China.

The World Cup of Mixed Martial Arts (WCMMA™) and The World Mixed Martial Arts Championship (WMMAC) announced the three MMA athletes who will be representing the USA in the first ever Super Fight Series against a Team from China on Saturday, September 15th at Foxwoods Resort Casinos' MGM Grand Theater.

These athletes are among the best. In the Feather Weight Division from Brockton, Massachusetts undefeated fighter "The LAWMAN" David LaChapelle will face "The MASTER" YAO Honggang. LaChapelle is a law school graduate who has put his legal career on hold for this opportunity not only to represent the USA but also for an opportunity at a world title. Representing the USA in the Middle Weight division from Dedham, Massachusetts is "The HAMMER" Brett Oteri who will face off against Chinese champion "The BOSS" Wang Sai. Oteri has been chosen as the captain of Team USA and is a unique and accomplished athlete from swimming, triathlons, wrestling, and becoming the head coach of the Swimming and Diving Program at Bridgewater State University. Finally, for the main event, in the Light Weight division from Berwick, Maine the current CFX 145lb Champion "JONESI" Bill Jones will be facing China’s MMA super sensation “The DRAGON” Yang Jianping, Jones has earned the reputation as one of the toughest men in the North East.

This series of Super Fights are five round world title fights in their respective divisions, and the winners will qualify to defend their belts globally, beginning with title fights scheduled this winter in Shanghai, China.

The first ever World Cup of Mixed Martial Arts™ will be held at Foxwoods® Resort Casino’s MGM Grand Theater on September 15th as Team Portugal challenges Team USA, and Team China challenges Team USA in a Superfight series for three world titles in the Middle Wt., Light Wt., and Featherweight divisions. Also that same evening the WCMMA and the WMMAC will be unifying the Heavyweight World Title as Russian National Sambo Champion Alexey Oleinik will be facing two time FILA Grappling World Champion, Kelly Anundson of the United States.
