After recently revamping their award winning website, http://www.dandystopsoil.co.uk, the company set to coming up with a way to offer their customers more choice and a more adaptable service.
The mini and jumbo bulk bags offer a cheaper way to have smaller and larger quantities of product delivered without having to afford the cost of a second full bulk bag.
Sales Manager, Simon Hughes, said, “We often have customers who don’t need a full standard bulk bag (900kg or 900ltrs) so our mini bulk bag offers a more affordable way to order smaller quantities by eliminating the additional packaging costs associated with small bags.
"Similarly we have shoppers who need slightly more than that provided in a standard bulk bag but not enough to justify the purchase of another full bag – to cater to these buyers we created our jumbo bag option which gives them another quarter tonne or quarter cubic metre of topsoil, gravel, slate, bark, compost or sand at a heavily reduced rate.
"So far we’ve seen really positive sales for both options and they’ve only been live for a few days!”
Dandy’s mini bulk bags contain approximately 500kg or 500ltrs of product, depending on the type ordered.
The jumbo bulk bags offer customers approximately 1150kg or 1150ltrs, again, product depending. Dandy’s standard bulk bags contain approximately 900kg or 900ltrs with most of the company’s competitors offering just 750kg as standard for around the same cost.
The mini and jumbo bulk bags are available for delivery to England or Wales on Dandy’s standard ‘free within 3 days’ service or on a fast track or weekend delivery for a small additional fee.
Savvy shoppers are also able to ‘add on’ small bags of product to the mini and standard bulk bags at heavily reduced rates leaving customers free to make the most out of ordering by mixing and matching the products required to complete their project without any delivery charges being incurred.
About Dandy's Topsoil:
Dandy’s is a multi-award winning, family run business and has been so since 1826.
Often at the forefront of their market, the business has also seen great success in the production of other products such as their Ultragrip Rock Salt which saw Dandy’s as the only company in the UK able to supply businesses, home-owners, Councils and the emergency services with a de-icing product after salt mines closed in the winter of 2009/2010.
Dandy’s are pioneers in the topsoil and compost production industry and they were the first in their market to begin selling topsoil and landscaping supplies online; since then they have remained market leaders in their industry and are continually producing new products and services to sustain this position.
