Waterville Valley, NH (PRWEB) August 16, 2012
Waterville Valley Resort has announced an End of Summer Bash & Fireworks for families on Labor Day Weekend, with a myriad of activities, most of which are free to the public or included in a lodging package.
The weekend bash is highlighted by Red Sox’s very own Wally The Green Monster visiting Town Square for photo opportunities with fans, as well as outdoor concerts by The Crunchy Western Boys, Josh Logan & Paul Costly, and Diversity. There will be a Euro Bungie, a meet and greet with the Valley Snow Dogz (Waterville Valley’s winter dogsled team), performance by Juggling Jim “The One Man Circus,” North Face fashion show, afternoon barbeques, and Sunday night fireworks over Corcoran Pond.
Many will be looking forward to the annual charity Duck Race on Snow’s Brook, with duck proceeds to benefit the New Hampshire Humane Society. The owners of the fastest three ducks win cash prizes, and the final duck across the finish line wins something quacky. Duck chances can be purchased for $3 each at any of the shops in Town Square, or by calling 603-236-8175.
Plenty more fun is scheduled for the entire Labor Day weekend, including
Curious George Story Time, Baseball Trivia, family and kid’s games, and a live animal show in the Town Square.
Special lodging packages for the End of Summer Bash include a two-night stay over the weekend, sparklers, and a racing duck for each person, and all the Summer Unlimited Activities. Package prices start at $46 per person per night based on quad-occupancy.
The Waterville Valley Summer Unlimited package includes boating, mountain biking, tennis, golf, access to the White Mountain Athletic Club, use of the Waterville Valley shuttle, a scenic chair lift ride up Snow’s Mountain, ice skating in the indoor arena, and access to the Waterville Valley Recreation’s open gym program.
