Unlike the typical equipment used to extract water from soaked carpets or flood basements, this machine is a fast, efficient and cost effective way to suck 500 gallons of water at a time.

Flood Specialists, Inc., a Chicago based water damage restoration company, today announced the creation of a custom made “super sucker” machine that sucks water, mud, rocks, and other debris out of severely flooded basements, murky pools, mucky crawlspaces, flooded catch basins and debris filled fountains.

This custom piece of equipment is now available for specialty extraction services at a very competitive price but it is not available for rent yet. Unlike the typical equipment used to extract water from soaked carpets or flood basements, this machine is a fast, efficient and cost effective way to suck 500 gallons of water at a time.

Carpet cleaning companies that have the power and equipment to extract water from soaked carpets, would not risk using their expensive equipment to extract water and debris out of crawlspaces or severely flooded basements. Designed to extract water from carpeting, their equipment would suffer damage beyond repair.

Per the EPA, catch basins require annual inspections to check if cleaning is needed. Maintenance involves cleaning of the grate and periodic cleaning of the bottom of the basin. During rainy seasons, catch basins should be checked for backups, puddles or street flooding. Failure to maintain a clean catch basin can block drainage pipes resulting in residential and commercial flooding. The purpose of a catch basin is to trap debris entering storm drains and sewer systems.

The General Manager of Flood Specialists, Inc., Mario Majewski said, “We do not rent this equipment out to our colleagues, but we can come out to assist them to do the specialty extraction portion of their restoration project.” Flood Specialists, Inc. does have a large supply of other restoration equipment available for rent. They can be contacted at 1-888-502-5699 to answer any questions about rentals or their consulting services.
