Voting closed this week for Thinkso’s design sprint Give A Brand! where in three worthy causes were nominated for a free brand makeover. New Jersey based AIDS Orphans Rising claimed the prize in the month-long online poll.
On Thursday, August 16, Thinkso Creative, a branding and marketing firm based in NYC, will completely overhaul AIDS Orphans Rising’s identity, website and marketing materials in less than 12 hours. Thinkso’s full staff, along with a few co-sponsors, will create an engaging brand identity, complete with new marketing materials and an integrated website for the organization.
Give A Brand! arose from awareness that many small charities have little to no resources to invest in branding, while a strong identity is essential to fundraising. “AIDS Orphans Rising does remarkable work, and we are thrilled to have this opportunity. It’s a big step for us and them,” said Thinkso partner, Brett Traylor.
AIDS Orphans Rising, run by the Religious Teachers Filippini based in Morristown, New Jersey, provides skills and resources to child headed households in Africa, South America, India and Eastern Europe. A child headed household—in which a child under the age of 18 is left to take care of his or her younger siblings due to parents dying of AIDS—is formed every 14 seconds.

Anyone will be able to watch this creative race in action via a live online stream this Thursday, August 16 at thinkso.com/giveabrand.
