President of St. Louis Web Marketing Strategy Firm, The Net Impact, begins year-long term as AMA-St. Louis President.

This month Steve Thomas, President of web strategy firm The Net Impact, begins his one year term serving as President of the St. Louis Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA St. Louis). In 2011, the AMA St. Louis Board of Directors elected Steve to succeed Christine Chamberlin,Director of Marketing for Dent Wizard International, as AMA President.

Steve Thomas, AMA St. Louis member for three years, has served the organization as Social Media Chair and recently on the Board of Directors as President Elect. As AMA St. Louis President, Thomas will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual programming, drive new membership, and ensure a valuable experience for AMA members in the St. Louis chapter.

“It’s a great privilege to serve as the AMA St. Louis President”, said Thomas, “This is a vibrant, curious, and energetic organization, and I’m eager to continue its mission to provide the highest quality content and networking opportunities for the St. Louis marketing professionals community.”

As President, Thomas is responsible for providing leadership to the AMA St. Louis’ 300+ chapter members as well as coordinating the efforts of its 20 member Board of Directors. Chamberlin will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as the Immediate Past President.

“Steve’s passion for dynamic, cutting-edge marketing strategies has been a great asset to this organization’s leadership,” said Chamberlin, “I’m excited to see his enthusiasm continue to drive AMA St. Louis’ mission to connect and engage the marketing community here in St. Louis.”

While monthly marketing luncheons were on hiatus for the summer, AMA St. Louis returns with monthly programming on August 16th with “Hearing the Voice of the Consumer” from Lon Zimmerman. Find more information at http://www.ama-stl.org.

Steve Thomas also currently serves as President of the Missouri Venture Forum, a St. Louis-based non-profit organization designed to support the region’s entrepreneurs.
