The awards are designed to recognize executive leaders who have served as catalysts for extraordinary results at the CXO/EVP level for an enterprise with U.S. $2 billion or more in annual revenues.
There are three award categories: the Innovation Breakthrough Award, the Enterprise Transformation Award and the Leadership Performance Award.
The Innovation Breakthrough Award is given to the executive who has led their enterprise to uncover significant adjacent business opportunities outside the company’s business model and its current set of products and/or services.
The Enterprise Transformation Award is given to the executive who has led material alterations in the framework, model, culture and/or systems of their enterprise (corporate, business unit or functional enterprise) resulting in significantly elevated performance.
The Leadership Performance Award is given to the executive who has generated a public commitment and has inspired and mobilized the people of their enterprise to an unprecedented accomplishment, resulting in a new set of opportunities for the future of the enterprise.

The judging panel for the Breakthrough Performance Awards includes Dr. Michael C. Jensen, an award-winning author, professor, lecturer and consultant; R. Timothy Rice, CEO of Cone Health System; Wayne L. Delker, PhD, Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of The Clorox Company; Patricia Meier, CEO of HSM Global; and Shideh Sedgh Bina, founding partner of Insigniam.
