...we enable clients to have secure, quick and easy access to data collection and data management.
CHICAGO (PRWEB) August 15, 2012
Co-Founders Greg Estes, CEO, and Trent Walton, President, announce the recent launch of Cumulus Data, Inc., a cloud software development company with a focus on access and management of high-value ESI (electronic stored information) for litigation and compliance matters. Its first product launch will be eCloudCollect™, offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. eCloudCollect will provide users with a simple web browser interface allowing secure and defensible data collections, native data review and data preservation.
The development of eCloudCollect comes as a response to the growing need to access data stored in multiple sources, including the most popularly challenging—the cloud. An increased use of cloud services in the business world such as content and collaboration applications like Microsoft Office 365, web based email including Gmail and Exchange Online and complete infrastructure solutions (IaaS) have created unique challenges for legal and compliance teams when data must be preserved. eCloudCollect is a user friendly tool and service that will identify and collect data in all environments—cloud, remote or on premise—anywhere in the world.
“Cumulus Data is dedicated to harnessing and integrating the power and innovation of cloud technology to collect and manage high-value electronically stored information,” said Trent Walton. “Thus, we enable clients to have secure, quick and easy access to data collection and data management.”
eCloudCollect is currently offered as a service available via a network of Cumulus Data channel partners across the country. Strategic partnerships with litigation service and software providers such as New York based U.S. Legal Support, Digital Discovery and Trial in San Diego, Progressive Imaging and Consulting in Milwaukee, BlueStar Case Solutions in Chicago, Electronic Legal in Denver and Reveal in Audubon, Pennsylvania facilitate seamless integration with a user’s workflow environment and eDiscovery tools. Service providers are equipped with the ability to integrate with other platforms—hosted or installed—directly from their private clouds to eCloudCollect so that they may provide a secure and quick solution for cloud based ESI collection and review. Cumulus Data has established relationships with Amazon and Microsoft to provide clients access to cloud providers and their respective technology.
Future releases of eCloudCollect will include the capability to collect data from additional content and collaboration applications such as Lotus Notes, SharePoint and Google Docs; cloud storage systems like Dropbox and iCloud; and social media sources including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. Live product demonstrations of eCloudCollect including a Q&A session are held weekly with an event happening this Thursday, August 16th.
