Made available through Xlibris, this picture book opens with the arrival of the young girl Lavanna on planet Earth. She was brought by her dragon from the planet Play to a new planet to learn that there is more to life than just playing. On Earth, she overhears a mother duck who tells her brothers and sisters about how to take care of themselves. “Don’t get stewed, don’t get struck,” she tells them. Lavanna decides to follow the mother duck and learn more lessons from her.

Through the charming pages, readers will follow Lavanna’s encounters with a rabbit, a frog, snakes, crickets, and a witch. They will see how the young girl manages to keep herself from harm and gain new friends along the way.
