New companies are setting up in Bromley

The council is actively seeking investment into new developments that are sure to improve the area still further – this creates a great environment for new companies to thrive in.

Bromley: Bromley has experienced its most successful quarter ever in terms of new company formation. There have been 246 company registrations during Q2 of this year, more than any other Q2 on record. The previous record of 228 was set in Q2 of 2007.

Bromley is one of the most significant areas of commercial and retail activity outside of Central London and is widely regarded as an affluent area. There are plans for several developments in the pipeline, which could be a contributing factor in the increased number of new businesses choosing to set up there.

Planned developments include a 24 storey development with a 130 bedroom hotel, 200 apartments, cafes, restaurants and a multiplex cinema. There are also plans for a mixed-use development on the site known as Churchill Place.

Council leader Stephen Carr said of the Churchill Place project:

"Our vision is taking shape and we are keen to work closely with a development partner to deliver our aspirations to enhance the town with high quality, design led development. We are setting about building a better Bromley and Churchill Place is integral to our plans for the town centre.”
Managing Director of Duport.co.uk, Peter Valaitis said:

“Bromley has a strong economic base, but it’s not resting on its laurels. The council is actively seeking investment into new developments that are sure to improve the area still further – this creates a great environment for new companies to thrive in.”

With so much positive activity in Bromley, new companies may well be flocking there for years to come.
