LatinosinHigherEd.com is excited to share its new website. Originally launched in 2006, Latinos in Higher Ed has continued its growth since its inception six years ago. The new site is comprised of exciting new features that better improve the job search experience for the company’s users. The new features include a new design, improved functionality for job seekers, employers and employment agencies as well as social media integration for job seekers.
LatinosinHigherEd.com is always seeking areas for self-improvement. Users and clientele saw that the old website lacked convenient functionality, construction on the new site began. Featured jobs and an employment search engine are more prominent on the homepage. Overall, the new features create a quick and easy process for job seekers and employers alike. The old site, although still client accessible, was not as visually appealing and organized.
The new website’s sleek design allows for an organized job search experience. Job seekers are better able to reflect their skill set and experience to prospective employers through the creation of their own “profile.” Candidates are able to upload resumes, a biography and links to their social networks and websites on their profile. With these additions the candidates are better able to showcase their personalities and job experience to prospective employers. The intuitive job seeker dashboard will help with the ease of managing search agents, applications and the overall job search.
For employers an intuitive employer dashboard will help with the ease of tracking applications and resumes. The job posting experience will be much easier as an employer can post single jobs or do bulk posting via a XML feed upload.
In addition to a space being allocated for social media networks on a user’s profile, Latinos in Higher Ed will also integrate the use of social media through their own practices. Latinos in Higher Ed will utilize social media by posting jobs through their social networks.
“LatinosinHigherEd.com was designed for recruiters that want to get things done. With our emerging market we gathered the feedback from our clients and job seekers and created a site that was easy to navigate for all users. Our new additions to the job seeker, employer and employment agency accounts will assist in minimizing the hours spent on posting jobs, searching for candidates and billing," said Vice President of LatinosinHigherEd.com Heriberto Roman.
LatinosinHigherEd.com is the first Latino professional employment web site designed specifically for the higher education community. It was launched in response to a growing concern about the need to promote career opportunities in higher education for the growing Latino population.
This site helps employers connect with the largest pool of Latino professionals in higher education in the United States, Puerto Rico and internationally by disseminating employment opportunities to registered candidates and a national network of Latino-serving organizations and listservs.
