A 24 Hour Broadcast on television, the Internet and radio, focusing on three themes of peace: Peace among Nations; Peace with the Planet, and Peace within each Individual

A 24 hour global event focusing on three aspects of peace is being produced for broadcast on December 21, 2012. Entitled The Planetary Peace Broadcast,, it will focus on themes of vital importance to all people: peace among nations, peace with the environment of our planet, and peace within each individual. We believe there has never been a time when a broadcast promoting understanding and highlighting peace on earth has been needed more. The program will be broadcast on the Internet, on television and radio throughout the world.

The theme of peace among nations will feature the history of peace-makers in the region, interviews with current representatives of peace organizations from that area, as well as international organizations working in the region, who will describe their special areas of interest, goals, methods, and progress. The theme of peace with the environment will feature information about our relationship to all forms of planetary life. The startling ecological changes which are occurring throughout the world will be dramatically presented to supplement the individual area presentations. For the third theme, peace within the individual, excerpts from the world’s teachings and philosophies regarding inner peace will be conveyed through visual art, music, and verse from each region. The focus will be on the universality of the human spiritual experience for all races and cultures, and the common philosophic threads that weave through all religions: the father/motherhood of God, and the brotherhood and sisterhood of all people.

The first hour of The Planetary Peace Broadcast is devoted to the children of the world. Profiles on the undaunted spirit, courage and faith of children throughout the world will be presented. The common denominator of the parent-child relationship and its importance in every culture and race will be featured. During each of the following 21 hours, 21 different regions of the world will be featured. Each hourly segment will contain profiles of the people who inhabit the region, their culture and spiritual beliefs, along with highlights on major ecological circumstances in the area. With the use of dramatic visuals, the focal point will be the beauty of each region. Music and the arts from the respective area will also be integrated throughout each hour.

The final hours of The Planetary Peace Broadcast will be devoted to honoring the Creator. To that end, this finale will prominently feature the third theme of peace within the individual. As a climax to the 24 hour broadcast, a ten-minute segment will be featured where all viewers and listeners will be invited to unite in common prayer. The purpose of the prayer will be to ask for peace among nations, harmony with our planet, and the spiritual growth of mankind. We will suggest that each person reflect on specific ways they may assist those on the planet who are without the basic needs of life, or help those who need the assistance of others more fortunate.

We believe the prayer will be accepted and acted upon by the vast majority of the audience. This event will create the largest simultaneous gathering of people in our planet’s history, and is a means to spark an increase in global cooperation, which is the real focus of The Planetary Peace Broadcast. The massive group thought synergy will have an effect on the entire planet and its inhabitants. With enough organized human energy, we can change the course of human history in a way no government or group alone could do. A sufficient number of people participating in an event that would fill the planetary atmosphere with thoughts of truth, beauty, and goodness, even for 24 hours, may help show what is possible with global cooperation by ordinary citizens. The receptivity of the planet’s population to the three themes of peace could change all of our lives gradually, eventually resulting in a global change. That is our stated goal and that is what we believe The Planetary Peace Broadcast will catalyze.
