National Underclassmen Announces 2012 City vs. City Youth Championships

NUC Football Combine and Camps will host a nation-wide youth football tournament for athletes in the rising 6th-8th grades.

National Underclassmen CEO Dave Schuman has announced a City vs. City All-Star Youth Championship that will take place from December 1st-6th, 2012. The tryouts will be held in nine different cities across the United States in the middle of November. All athletes from the rising sixth grade up to the age of 15 by December 1st, 2012 are eligible. The tryouts will be hosted in the following cities: Palisades Park, NJ, Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX, Sugarland, TX, Nashville, TN, East Point, GA, Greensboro, NC, Orlando, FL, and two fields in the Washington, D.C and Chicago areas to be named later. Tryouts will go from 1-5 PM. Cleats, shorts, and a t-shirt will be the proper attire.

The tryout will consist of several events, hosted by Dave Schuman's National Underclassmen staff. The events include: 40-Yard Dash, Shuttle Run, Broad Jump, Agility, Position, Throw and Catch, OL/DL 1 on 1's, Cover and Deny, OL/DL Run Blocking Drills, and a Punt/Kick. Concluding these events, 15 defensive players, 15 offensive players, 1 punter, and 1 kicker will be chosen by each team. Final rosters will be posted online.

The following are the names of the teams: New York Freedom, Los Angeles Stars, Dallas Touchdown, Nashville Batmen, Houston Bravehearts, Chicago Freeze, Washington DC Presidents, Atlanta Kings, North Carolina Triad Truth and the Orlando Lightning. Each tryout attendee must live in the state of the city represented or within a 120-mile radius to be eligible to try out.
