Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 16, 2012
Trade Technologies, the global leader in international trade document solutions, announced today that it has opened a new sales office in Vancouver to further develop relationships with Canadian exporters.
“Canadian commodity exports to Asia have dramatically increased over the last two years and the long distances between many Canadian exporters and their bank offices make our automated trade documentation solution extremely valuable for accelerating payment and reducing risk,” said Kirk Lundburg, CEO Trade Technologies. “We have several dozen Canadian customers and prospects already and have partnered with two of the countries’ largest trade banks to deliver original letter of credit document online for examination.”
Winney Chow will serve as Trade Technologies’ new Sales Director of the Vancouver office. With over 15 years of experience in the trade finance, insurance and export industries, Chow previously held the position of Manager of Trade Finance for TD Securities, and served as the Business Development Manager at Export Development Canada.
“I’m delighted to join such a dynamic, forward-thinking company and have the opportunity to offer its highly effective trade document solutions,” said Chow. “With Canada being the tenth largest economy in the world, there is so much opportunity for growth in the export market here.”
Lundburg added, “We are thrilled to bring Winney on board to lead the development of our new initiative in Vancouver. Her extensive experience in structuring transactions, assessing and analyzing political and financial risk and overseeing transactions for a variety of markets will greatly benefit our current and prospective clients.”
