The Borenstein Group is proud to announce that it has received the Gold Stevie® Award for Social Media Marketing App design from the 2012 International Business Awards. The Borenstein Group’s award winning app, “Turtle or Soup: Survival of the Smartest,” is a fast-paced racing game that teaches players how to use social media and digital marketing strategies to improve return on investment.

The International Business Awards committee received submissions from over 3,200 businesses from more than 50 nations across the globe. Categories included Marketing, Management, Customer Service, IT, and Website Design. All entries were critiqued by a panel of judges composed of top leaders from creative agencies located in major markets around the world. Judging was completed in multiple rounds, with only the top 300 submissions earning entry into the final round. In total, more than 300 top global executives participate in the judging process.

“We’re delighted to be honored by the IBA committee,” said Borenstein Group President and CEO, Gal Borenstein, “Especially considering we were up against some of the brightest minds in app development from around the globe.”

The Borenstein Group’s winning app, “Turtle or Soup: Survival of the Smartest” is available for download on iTunes or the Android Marketplace. The action centers around Roi the Turtle, who represents small business, and Biggie the Rabbit, a greedy embodiment of big corporate competitors. Roi and Biggie race around Washington, DC landmarks in a head-to-head heat for marketing success. To win, Roi must collect social media icons, rocket boosters and coins – each important tools in smart marketing strategy. “To us, marketing is always a competition, like the Olympic Games,” added Borenstein. “You’ve got to go for the gold. In our app, Roi the Turtle is the classic underdog, but just like Gabby Douglas or Michael Phelps, with hard work and smart strategy, he can overcome any obstacle to win the race.”

The International Business Awards honor excellence, innovation and performance across a broad range of industries. The Gold “Stevie” trophy is the highest IBA award, and represents a significant achievement for the recipient. The 2012 IBA Stevie awards are the ninth annual installment of this prestigious international competition. For a full list of 2012 Stevie Award winners, CLICK HERE.
