We couldn’t be happier to launch our business by helping them reach even more donors through Facebook.

Donatables is excited to announce a partnership with Loaves & Fishes, one of the largest providers of Meals-On-Wheels to seniors in Oregon. The partnership lets Loaves & Fishes turn donations into social gifts that donors can give to friends and family via Facebook. Users can select a virtual gift that represents feeding a senior for a week, and gift it directly to a friend’s wall on Facebook. The gift store has just been launched on the Loaves & Fishes Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/FeedingSeniors/app_223614097749961

Donatables http://www.donatables.com was created around a simple idea: make giving simple, social, and fun. Simply select a gift on the Loaves & Fishes facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/FeedingSeniors/app_223614097749961, pick a friend, write a short gift message, and complete the donation all from facebook. The friend receives a fun and thoughtful virtual gift posted to their facebook wall. The donor gets a copy on their wall to help expose Loaves & Fishes to as much of their social network as the donor permits.

Loaves & Fishes http://feedseniors.org has been instrumental in getting the idea off the ground, supporting the concept from day one. “Loaves & Fishes is about people in the community helping other people in one of the most tangible and meaningful ways possible: providing meals to hungry seniors.” Notes Michael LaPeter, the co-founder of Donatables. “We couldn’t be happier to launch our business by helping them reach even more donors through Facebook.”
