We have taken steps to ensure we are ahead of the game to not only offer SSAE 16 Type II compliance as a company, but to also enable our customers to become SSAE 16 certified.

UnitedLayer, a leader in the colocation and managed hosting industry serving enterprise customers in San Francisco and Los Angeles, announces its adherence to the new SSAE 16 compliance for all its data centers to demonstrate controls and processes that ensure quality and security for its customers. SSAE 16 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16) is an enhancement to SAS 70 Type II, the current standard for Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization. The Type II designation assures customers that controls have been audited and tested.

Few data center facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area offer SSAE 16 Type II certification, furthering UnitedLayer’s differentiation as an IT provider focused on quality and reliability for businesses serving customers in highly regulated and controlled industries such as government, healthcare, education and financial services. UnitedLayer’s commitment to SSAE 16 compliance is of particular value for businesses that must adhere to strict compliance guidelines for business continuity and disaster recovery.

“We continue to adhere to the highest standards of controls, compliance and security procedures to provide our customers highly reliable and secure managed IT infrastructure. We have taken steps to ensure we are ahead of the game to not only offer SSAE 16 Type II compliance as a company, but to also enable our customers to become SSAE 16 certified. Our customers appreciate our preparation and consultation in this area, and can feel confident in our redundancy and strict processes to meet the regulatory requirements of their businesses.” – Abhijit Phanse, CEO, UnitedLayer.
