Some of the major enhancements in Razuna 1.5 includes an option to fully customize Razuna, social login option, a new Rendering Farm functionality and major enhancement to the search and the overall look and feel of the system. Furthermore, the support for cloud storage has been widened to additionally support Amazon S3, Nirvanix and Eucalyptus (with Akamai support coming soon). Moreover, a brand new version of the popular API is now available, which many organizations use to integrate Razuna into their environment.
The launch of Razuna 1.5 will also be followed by a new partner and OEM program to be made public later in August. “We have seen an increasing demand for OEM solutions from technology companies, and we have decided to completely redo our partner program,” says Jens Strandbygaard, CEO of Razuna. “Because of Razuna’s versatility and extensive API, software vendors are able to embed Razuna deep into their existing technologies and thereby leveraging enterprise level DAM features to their clients.”
“Traditional partners such as resellers and systems integrators also benefit from the changes, since they are will be awarded a higher commission as well as being able to offer our enterprise package to large scale clients. We look much forward to bringing it to market,” says Jens Strandbygaard. The new partner program is expected to further accellerate Razuna’s international growth.
“Many of the improvements in 1.5 are based on customer input,” says Nitai Aventagiato, CTO and founder of Razuna. “We work with a number of customers globally and we are constantly striving to improve the features as well as the usability of our software based on their feedback.”
“With the latest additions, Razuna is truly an enterprise level digital asset management software – and probably one of the most user-friendly in the market,” says Nitai Aventaggiato. “And with our comprehensive SaaS offering, businesses of any size can jump on the wagon.”
“Despite the wealth of features in Razuna, a recent customer survey still shows a broad variety of uses. Most customers use us to handle big volumes of images and video, but a growing number of smaller businesses and teams benefit from Razuna’s ability to offer uploading and sharing files quickly and efficiently. And some just need a fast and powerful media library,” says Jens Strandbygaard.
More than 230 improvements over Razuna 1.4.7 have been included in the current release, and because of Razuna’s innovative business model, these will be brought to existing and new customers for free.
Some of the highlights in Razuna 1.5 are:
Customers who need to encode many files can leverage the new “Rendering Farm” feature which distributes the rendering job to another server (example Amazon EC2, dedicated server, etc.)
New customization options allow to completely tailor the system to ones needs. Tabs, Dialogs, look and feel, etc. can be fully customized.
New caching engine:
The new caching system dramatically improves the overall performance and supports numerous popular caching engines like Memcached and MongoDB.
Manage backups of your assets and data from within Razuna itself
Allows you to easily export metadata and manipulating them in a spreadsheet.
