August 20th, 2012, Lorna Kleidman, creator of the kettlebell fitness routine KettleX, commends an article published for the Dartmouth Chronicle regarding a visit from body image campaigner Natasha Devon to help Dartmouth Academy students with their self-confidence.
The article states that Devon is a body image expert who has been featured on television and radio and many celebrities have applauded her efforts toward overcoming poor self-image. The visit was assembled by student Danny Hill, who discovered Devon’s “body gossip project, which has been working to increase awareness of body image disorders and help people who suffer from them.”
Lorna Kleidman commends Natasha Devon and her efforts to promote a positive self-image for students. Kleidman supports article as it sheds light on the issue of poor self-esteem and the importance of improving self-image. “Confidence building is the foundation for the KettleX workout, which uses kettlebell exercises to empower, build better self-esteem and get people feeling great, inside and out,” said Lorna Kleidman.
Danny Hill, according to the Dartmouth Chronicle, contacted Natasha Devon after working on a project that reflected body confidence and its significant effect on teenagers. According to the article, when Natasha Devon visited the students at Dartmouth Academy she did a wonderful job promoting awareness regarding body image disorders and how they can harmfully effect young students. “Confidence has an important effect on everyone at every age,” said Lorna Kleidman. “The students of Dartmouth Academy have learned an important lesson.”
Lorna Kleidman is a Three-Time World Champion and World Record holder in kettlebell sport and the most decorated kettlebell athlete in the country. She developed the innovated methods used in KettleX as a way to bring the benefits of the bells to everyone in an easy to use, comprehensive and fun format. Lorna has been teaching individuals and group classes for the past six years.
