M&O Partner Charles Mccormick to Moderate US/EU VC & Emerging Company Forum.

European-American Chamber of Commerce to Showcase Cross-Atlantic Innovation

On September 12, M&O Partner Charles F. McCormick will be moderating a panel featuring cross-Atlantic entrepreneurs and investors discussing the emerging company and VC landscapes in the US and the European Union. The panel, which is being presented by the European American Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Fordham University Graduate School of Business at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Mr. McCormick commented: “The EACC has assembled a great group to discuss this topic. The New York City area is the hottest emerging company and VC community on the planet, and the emerging company space has been a bright spot on the EU landscape. The prospects for continued innovation and job creation in these areas are exceptional on both sides of the Atlantic, and we can learn a great deal from the experiences of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors and experts operating in both arenas. I am looking forward to a lively and informative discussion.”

The panel’s sponsor, and EACC New York Executive Director, Yvonne Bendinger-Rothschild stated that: “In the current economy VC activity is incredibly important, not only for start-ups but also for companies that want to expand into new markets and outside of their current borders. The response we have received for the program confirms that there is a enormous interest in the topic from both side of the Atlantic. Worth pointing out is that the event is supported by a number of EU Trade & Invest Agencies, which suggests that there is increased activity in the European VC market and a new interest in alternative funding.”
