Warble Entertainment Agency, a leading UK booking agency for weddings, parties and corporate events have given their backing to a new project aimed at musicians. Musobox is a website that aims to provide UK musicians with social networking facilities, an outlet for showcasing their talents and the ability to find more gigs, events and work in their field.

“Everything I’ve seen of Musobox has been nothing but positive. The site allows musicians to showcase their talents via individual profiles – almost like an online CV – and will advertise industry specific jobs from record companies, venues, likewise musicians and music producers,” said Matt Warren, CEO of Warble Entertainment.

Musobox (http://www.musobox.com) is free to sign up to and once an account has been created, users have the ability to upload, images, audio, videos, biographies and add important details about their experience. The profiles also have the capability to be cross referenced against additional social media and industry specific sites such as, Facebook, SoundCloud and Twitter.

The concept for Musobox was developed by Damian Keyes, CEO of DK Management, as his company was looking to source musicians who could be added as members to the catalogue of cover bands and function bands they create.

“I spent a long time trying to find musicians who were serious about their craft and who were at a certain level. Whilst there are sites out there attempting to do what Musobox does, they allow musicians too much freedom to stray from the path and muddy the waters with regards selling themselves as effectively as possible. Instead of asking important and practical questions like ‘how long have you been playing?’, or, ‘do you have your own transport?’ they asked questions like ‘what is your favourite song?’ and ‘what colour are your eyes?’ which have very little bearing for a musician who is trying to find likeminded people or showcase their talents.”

Warble is planning on solid investment into Musobox over the next few years and will use the site to further develop their act roster. Many artists on the booking agency’s website (http://www.warble-entertainment.com) are already receiving regular work for weddings and in some cases large scale corporate events.

“We’ve already sourced musicians from Musobox for corporate work in Croatia, France and Spain and to perform at corporate events for household name brands,” continued Matt Warren. “Plus, we’ve had too many musicians perform at weddings and private parties to even think about!”

In addition to Warble Entertainment Agency, Musobox has attracted industry interest from heavyweight record labels and management companies who are using the site to find ‘the next big thing’.
