Southhampton, NY (PRWEB) August 20, 2012
More than seven bands will be featured at the third annual EjectorSeat Arts Festival in Southampton on August 25, which will bring an eclectic mix of music, film, art, theater, poetry, family activity and more to Southampton on Saturday August 25th. Visitors heading to Southampton from across New York State for the event are booking Vacation rentals through NYVacationRentals.com.
This year’s EjectorSeat Festival will also include a film tent, a collaborative effort for local bands to play music to the backdrop of computer games, abstract visuals and specially commissioned films. Bands playing the Film Tent include Auspices (Southampton), After the Rain (Southampton), |'bleiki| (Southampton), and The Limes (Winchester).
Additional performances from the street theatre company Public Attraction, comedian Emma Nias, and interactive workshops from Annie Sanger-Davies will also be included in the event.
Southampton is a favorite summertime vacation destination with seasonal events like the EjectorSeat Festival filling the August events calendar before the summer tourist season officially ends in just a few short weeks. Vacation accommodations in Southampton are available well into the fall and winter to accommodate weddings, family reunions, and off-season gatherings that bring people to the Hamptons year round.
“The EjectorSeat Festival is bringing people to the Hamptons for an end-off summer getaway and to take advantage of the many wonderful things to do in Southampton,” says Liz Ernst of NYVacationRentals.com. “It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the Hamptons’ world class beaches, arts scene, antiquing, and all the summer activities happening right now.”
Visitors begin their search for a Hamptons vacation cottage or bungalow rental by logging on to the NYVacationrentals.com website, where they can search for a private home or cottage near the festival venue or other Hamptons attractions. By booking private vacation lodgings in the Hamptons, families and groups of friends traveling together can stay under one roof together, enjoy the privacy that only a vacation home can provide, as well as amenities like a full kitchen and laundry room.
Ernst says that more travelers are looking for lower-cost options to hotel rooms when they visit the Hamptons or any of New York State’s popular vacation areas. New York vacation rental properties are gaining momentum as travelers juggle high gas prices and other expenses in tough economic times.
In addition to the live entertainment, the festival will offer an arts market manned by many of the different Southampton creatives involved in the event to sell prints, vintage wares, vegan snacks and more. Special workshops will also take place in the arts market such as SoCo's vegetable orchestra and badge making and screen printing t-shirts from Media Workshop.
A special open gallery will be created with the help of local artists, including interactive installations. The Arts House will host their story telling, music, poetry and more.
