High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (PRWEB UK) 21 August 2012
High Wycombe-based software company Skillweb has received a seal of approval from local MP Steve Baker. He was meeting with Skillweb to learn about the latest developments within the business and help launch a new version of its innovative mobile computing solution, SmartTask Attend, that is designed to help organisations, particularly in the home care, security and field service sectors, improve the productivity of their workforce.
Speaking during his visit to Skillweb’s head office in Grafton Street, Steve Baker commended the success in developing a growing business in challenging trading conditions: “What Skillweb is doing here in High Wycombe is very exciting. I’m delighted to find a small but global entrepreneurial firm that is investing in its business and innovating to drive growth both in the UK and internationally.”
“I would like to congratulate everyone at Skillweb on the launch of the new product that has the potential to increase productivity for care workers and others who operate in a mobile environment. I wish them every success in the future helping private and public organisations to improve business and operational processes,” he added.
Paul Ridden, Managing Director of Skillweb commented: “We are very proud that we are able welcome our MP to our High Wycombe head office and it is pleasing for everyone at the company to have their hard work and commitment recognised. We are committed to developing the business, in what is a dynamic industry, by investing in people and taking advantage of the latest innovations.
“We have been expanding our operation, creating job opportunities within the local community, and we are well placed to continue our growth over the next 12 months.”
Skillweb provides technology solutions designed to help organisations manage their mobile workforces and track the movement of their goods. The company’s SmartTask Attend product, which has now been launched for all Android operating systems, uses the latest Near Field Communication (NFC) or RFID attendance software in a mobile phone to enable organisations to simply and effectively record arrival and departure times to ensure appointments and jobs are being completed.
