London, England (PRWEB UK) 22 August 2012
Leading global tax compliance business FiscalReps (http://www.fiscalreps.com/) is today launching a specialist practice to deliver high-quality VAT advice to the insurance industry.
Leading the practice will be two recent recruits to the company – Peter Hewitt and Peter Hore.
Hewitt is a 20-year veteran of Ernst & Young, where he was most recently an indirect tax senior manager. As well as establishing the new VAT practice, Hewitt will become FiscalReps’ overall client director of insurance premium tax.
Hewitt says: “In FiscalReps I saw an opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to work for a specialist indirect tax business which has huge potential, servicing an exceptional group of insurance industry clients.”
Meanwhile, Hore joined FiscalReps in 2011 from Aviva where he was the company’s head of indirect taxes.
Mike Stalley, chief executive of FiscalReps, says: “We are delighted to have attracted people of Peter Hewitt and Peter Hore’s professional calibre. Their joining us so soon after the recruitment of Paul Chater and Nick Hammond, both from KPMG, demonstrates we are serious about building a strong indirect tax team. The team’s mission is to focus on delivering high-quality, professional services to our clients, offering the insurance industry a viable alternative to the traditional international tax practices.”
FiscalReps will hold a free VAT seminar at the company’s London offices (10 Fenchurch Avenue) on Thursday October 11 from 16:30 to introduce the new VAT team and discuss key VAT issues currently affecting the insurance industry.
To reserve a place at this seminar, please e-mail Rebecca Taylor at: rebecca.taylor (at) fiscalreps (dot) com.
