According to the recent report by Society of Actuaries, close to 50 percent of Americans underestimate their life expectancy.

After several successful radio shows on various local stations, Everest Wealth Management's "The Money Guys" take their expertise to CBS Baltimore WJZ-TV in their new show "Secrets to Successful Retirement."

The “Money Guys” are President of Everest Wealth Management Philip Rousseaux, Vice President Chris Kirk and financial representative Mike DiPaula. They established themselves as prominent financial advisors through multiple radio talk shows on CBS, ESPN and Clear Channel radio stations.

The “Secret to Successful Retirement” will air Sundays at noon EST and will address challenges faced by future retirees in the current unstable economy. Stock market volatility, low interest rates and reduced pensions are just a few to name.

According to the recent report by Society of Actuaries, close to 50 percent of Americans underestimate their life expectancy, which leads to inadequate retirement planning.

"When it comes to retirement planning, it's often better to over-prepare than under-budget, because those three or five years you didn't account for may cause you to change your lifestyle at an old age or place financial burden on you or your relatives," commented Rousseaux, the president of Everest Wealth Management.

According to the Employee Benefit Research Institute, only 52 percent of Americans feel confident about their retirement plans in the current economy. Rousseaux pointed out that this statistics proves the need in educational resources about retirement planning which the new show is aiming to fulfill.

"Social Security benefits alone are not sufficient anymore to guarantee secure and comfortable retirement," said Rousseaux. He further explained that it may require 70 to 90 percent of a person's pre-retirement income to maintain the same lifestyle after retirement, which many future retirees are not aware of and not prepared for.

The TV show’s start date is not yet determined and will be released as soon as it is available.
