Former NFL Player Mike Karney Joins iBN Sports Production Team

NFL Player Engagement Intern Program Pairs Players with Professional Production Teams at iBN Sports

iBN Sports announced today that former NFL fullback Mike Karney has joined the iBN team. Karney will provide color commentary on Friday nights and analysis for studio shows during the week.

Karney had a distinguished NFL career as a running back for both the New Orleans Saints and St. Louis Rams. He played in 130 games over his seven year career. Mike Karney will debut for iBN as the game analyst for the Foothill versus Tustin game on August 31, 2012. The coverage will be available on both and at “I am excited and truly grateful for the opportunity that iBN Sports is providing for me to stay close to the game I love and respect,” says Karney. “High school football represents the purest level of the game. I’m looking forward to giving my insights while learning from some of the best in the industry. I can’t wait to get started.”

iBN Sports is partnering with the NFL Player Engagement Department’s Career Internship Program to offer broadcast internships to players desiring careers in media. The players will have an opportunity to join broadcasts, participate in social media activities, and work in studio production roles.
