Great people and great stories, behind the scenes in Nashville's music business
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) August 21, 2012
Avidea PR, a Brentwood, Tennessee-based advertising and public relations firm has begun production for a new podcast series that will be dedicated to the use of social media in Nashville's music business scene. The show will be hosted by Avidea's vice president, Drew Bourke, and will include candid interviews with some of Nashville's finest music artists, songwriters, recording studio owners, session and touring musicians. Mr. Bourke was inspired to create the new music business-based show shortly after appearing as a guest on the popular podcast series, The PWA Show.
According to Drew Bourke, "Avidea PR is always looking for new and innovative ways to help promote our clients, many of which are in the music business. I caught the podcast while acting as guest on The PWA Show and quickly realized how podcasting can be another avenue for helping raise awareness for our clients, and be entertaining at the same time. It's going to be a lot of fun for everyone involved."
The PWA Show is a weekly podcast series that offers a wide variety of current topics and is hosted by Korey Hodges and David Brewington. Drew Bourke was interviewed for the popular series in July 2012. According to Drew, "I had no idea what being on The PWA Show would be like, but I fell in love with the format within minutes of the show starting. Korey and David do an excellent job of pulling entertaining and sometimes very personal information out of their guests. Our goal is to use Korey and David's production expertise and flow-structure to create a series that's educational and entertaining. There may be moments when it seems like an expose, but nothing to serious." Drew Bourke has lived in the Nashville region for over 25 years. In addition to being co-founder of Avidea PR, Drew continues to play drums on a part-time basis. "I am very fortunate to know hundreds of people who either run Music Row, or tour with major artists. These people are just as excited to do the show as we are."
Many of the guests scheduled to be interviewed in the series are working songwriters, recording studio owners, music artists, session and touring musicians. According to Mr. Bourke, "Even people who don't care for social media will be entertained by our show. There are so many people in Nashville with great stories to tell. Nashville is a hotbed for behind the scenes stories, and we plan to bring them into the limelight,"
