The demand for experiential learning is greater than ever...In the coming year, we expect our rapid growth to continue as we introduce enhanced adaptive learning capabilities and a variety of features associated with gaming.

For the second year in a row, Toolwire (http://www.toolwire.com) has been listed among the Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list is a comprehensive look at America's next generation of innovators. Over 27 million businesses are registered in the United States and thus eligible for consideration; past honorees have included Microsoft, Timberland, Visa, Intuit, Oracle, and Zappos.com.

Toolwire specializes in products and services for Experiential Learning. The company’s proven learning solutions, which include Toolwire Learnscapes, StudentDesktops, Scenarios, and LiveLabs, enable learning institutions to increase student engagement and retention across a broad range of subject areas including Health Care, Business Management, Information Technology, Engineering, First Year Experience, On-Boarding/Orientation, and more.

"Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500|5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward,” stated Jane Berentson, Editor of Inc. Magazine. “Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is."

“The demand for experiential learning is greater than ever. Research shows that learning by doing is the most engaging way to learn; it is also one of the most effective,” commented Cameron D. Crowe, Executive Vice President at Toolwire. “Our clients, which include several of the largest Higher Education institutions and leading software companies in the world, recognize the clear value proposition of our cloud-based learning solutions. Toolwire’s growth has been driven by the demand for our cutting-edge digital media simulations, which enable organizations to deliver virtual apprenticeships that allow students to practice critical thinking, problem solving, and creative thinking skills in contextual, ‘day-in-the-life’ scenarios. In the coming year, we expect our rapid growth to continue as we introduce enhanced adaptive learning capabilities and a variety of features associated with gaming.”

Toolwire’s digital media simulations immerse students in authentic, photo-realistic settings with interactive video-characters. Within each self-paced, asynchronous episode, students encounter poignant “teachable moments” that reinforce key learning objectives and require them to apply knowledge that they may have either gathered through class lectures, readings, discussions, or from “virtual mentors” within the simulation. Results from key interactions are captured and sent to instructors at the end of each experience. The combination of Toolwire’s unique instructional design and “Natural Assessment” approach, digital media production capabilities, and engineering expertise are unmatched by any company in the market today.

“We are truly honored to be included on the 2012 Inc. Magazine list for the second year in a row, “ stated John Valencia, Toolwire’s President and CEO. “At the end of the day, Toolwire’s success is a tribute to the service we provide to three important constituents: Students, Instructors, and Administrators. For Students, we aim to provide the most authentic, seamless experience possible. For Instructors, our motto is “No Teacher Left Behind”; we strive to support faculty every step of the way. And for Administrators, our goal is to provide learning solutions that increase student retention and improve program sustainability by differentiating programs in today’s increasingly competitive world of online education.”
