Rooms for Good program to raise funds for the nation’s largest wish-granting organization throughout September and October.

"We have a history of working with [Make-A-Wish] and some of the wonderful families it serves so we are pleased to be working with them this fall. We hope to help Make-A-Wish grant a few more wishes to children." -Amy A. Atkinson, VP, Gaylord Hotels

Gaylord Hotels knows what it means to give voice to a good cause. The hotel group, working to support various charities through its Rooms for Good program, today announced Make-A-Wish® as its September/October Rooms for Good featured charity. Gaylord Hotels will donate 10 percent of Rooms for Good package rate available at all four Gaylord Hotels resorts throughout September and October to Make-A-Wish.

“At Gaylord Hotels, we also help create memories that last a lifetime,” said Amy A. Atkinson, vice president of marketing and public relations, Gaylord Hotels. “So this pairing with Make-A-Wish for our September and October Rooms for Good program is a great combination. We have a history of working with this organization and some of the wonderful families it serves so we are pleased to be working with them this fall. We hope to help Make-A-Wish grant a few more wishes to children.”

The nation’s largest wish-granting organization, Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Since 1980, beginning with one boy’s wish to become a police officer, Make-A-Wish has worked tirelessly to transform lives and make children’s wishes come true. Since that day, Make-A-Wish has granted the wishes of more than 212,000 children throughout the United States and its territories and grants a wish every 38 minutes.

“The Rooms for Good program will help have a positive impact on the wish kids we serve,” said David A. Williams, Make-A-Wish America president and chief executive officer. “The support and dedication Gaylord Hotels puts into this program helps our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child.”

The Rooms for Good package rate starts at $179* per couple, per night, based on availability at all the Gaylord Hotels resorts, located in Nashville, Tenn. and in the metro areas of Washington, D.C., Orlando, Fla., and Dallas, Texas.
