The development of Wilwood’s Combination Parking Brake Caliper (CPB) Kit provides new options for rear disc brake conversions on both front and rear wheel drive vehicles when internal shoe parking brakes are not functionally possible or practical. CPB calipers use hydraulic pressure for stopping and an internal mechanical lock for the parking brake. The single floating piston design caliper attaches to axle housings or trailing arms with a fixed radial mount bracket. The floating piston design maintains perfect alignment during parking brake engagement and at the same time reduces pad knock-back on rear c-clip axles with excessive endplay. The caliper will accept the OE cable on many vehicles, or easily adapt with new cable ends on others. Brake Kits with discs ranging from 11.00” to 13.00”, and optional caliper colors, will provide matched performance and style to compliment front Big Brake upgrades.
