“To thrive as a business in the last three years has been a particularly difficult achievement considering the condition of the current economy,” says Inc. magazine Editor Eric Schurenberg. “Those businesses which have continued to grow and develop are living testaments to the power of creativity, endurance and ingenuity; and represent the most competitive organizations to have represented the Inc. 500 in its history.”

Awarded once a year, the Inc. 500 represents America’s independent entrepreneurs. To make the list, companies had to have achieved a minimum of 770% in sales growth. The companies involved in the 2012 list employ more than 48,000 people, have generated over 40,000 jobs in the past three years, had a median three-year growth of 1,431 percent, and accumulated aggregate revenue of $15.7 billion.

“We are extremely honored to be included in this prestigious list,” says Scott Robertson, partner and co-founder of Grand River. “Our success is a result of the hard work, effort and innovation that our employees bring to work every day. Those contributions, along with clients who have become true business partners, make this an achievement for our entire organization to celebrate and share.”

"Now more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward,” adds Schurenberg. “Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is.”

All companies on this year’s Inc. 500 list are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/500.
