We recognize that 1,500% [three-year] revenue growth is likely unsustainable organically, but we’re refining our strategy, raising capital, and focusing our talents on some game-changing ideas. We’re excited about Mav6’s next chapter.

Inc. magazine yesterday ranked Mav6, LLC No. 230 on its 31st annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy -- America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500. Mav6 ranked 1st among Mississippi companies, and 18th in the Government Services category.
"We’re honored to be recognized again by Inc. Magazine as one of the nation's fastest growing companies," said Buford Blount, Chairman of Mav6, LLC. He continued, "I credit our success to the talented, motivated, and creative team we’ve assembled." Jay Harrison, Mav6’s Managing Director added, "We recognize that 1,500% [three-year] revenue growth is likely unsustainable organically, but we’re refining our strategy, raising capital, and focusing our talents on some game-changing ideas. We’re excited about Mav6’s next chapter."
The 2012 Inc. 500, unveiled in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands August 21 to November 15 and on Inc.com), is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. To make the cut, companies had to have achieved a staggering minimum of 770% in sales growth. The Inc. 500’s aggregate revenue is $15.7 billion, with a median three-year growth of 1,431 percent.
Mav6 was established in May 2007 by Major General Buford "Buff" Blount, USA (Retired), and Mr. Adam Jay Harrison to fill a need in the global defense and security market for rapidly conceived, concept-to-implementation technology solutions to emerging global security challenges. Last year, Mav6 was ranked 373rd on Inc. Magazine’s 2011 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
