Award winning author Doug Noll and his wife, world renowned sound healer and intuitive Aleya Dao teach relationship skills to couples wanting a closer connection. “As a professional mediator I observe people in conflict wanting to change the mind, attitude, and belief of another person. The real answer to ending conflict is to change those things internally, which is a counter intuitive notion in this culture,” Noll explains. Noll and Dao started Right Relationship Webinar Series as an answer to many of their own respective client needs.
“Both of our respective clients want the same things, to be understood, to be listened to, and to have a deep connection with their partner. Empathetic and empathic listening must be taught. The motivation needs to be high in order to change,” Aleya Dao says.
“Our culture is full of stories through novels and movies portraying the misunderstood lover, and the angst of conflict. The summer movie Hope Springs starring Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones is a painful portrayal of a middle aged couple in a long term committed marriage, unhappy, void of intimacy on all levels, yet stuck in not knowing how to fix it,” Noll explains.
Noll and Dao teach tools to develop or get back the intimacy couples yearn for. “Couples leave each other because they aren’t getting their needs met. They don’t have the skills to ask for what they want. Instead of learning techniques, couples leave with the mistaken belief that they chose the wrong partner,” Dao says. “What they really need and want is to figure out how to make things work,” Noll adds.
Noll and Dao merge their individual, unique and acclaimed skills to help couples learn how to listen to each other, to learn empathy, sharing, boundaries, and offer hope for couples feeling stuck or disillusioned. Noll and Dao have been interviewed on NPR, the syndicated Women’s Talk Radio show, and Frontier Beyond Fear. Doug is a regular contributor to various syndicated radio shows. Aleya has been interviewed on countless radio shows including Coast to Coast and the Shirley MacLaine radio show.
