Capsule Media, Mobile and Web App for Weddings

Bridal couples who want to see their wedding day from every angle can benefit from a new wedding app that allows them to instantly capture all of their guests’ photos into one group album, or “capsule.” CapsuleCam, the mobile app for Android and iPhone, enables guests to take photos and sync their shots automatically to a private, online wedding album for the party to enjoy for years to come. Photos and videos taken from other digital devices can also be added to the couple’s “wedding capsule” by uploading them directly at http://trycapsule.com.

Capsule was founded by Cyrus Farudi, Omri Cohen, and Ryan Schmidt after they attended a
staggering fourteen weddings and nine bachelor parties in one year. Unable to find an easy solution for sharing all the photos and videos with each other and the bride and groom, they decided to build Capsule. Capsule was built to accommodate more than just the wedding. Users can create additional capsules for any event, including bachelor/bachelorette parties, bridal showers, engagement parties or any other significant life event. Capsule is available for purchase for under $100 and it is always free for wedding guests.

"We realized there was no shortage of services to store one's personal photos, but nothing existed to facilitate the instant collection of all the guests’ photos into one private place until now,” says Farudi. “Capsule replaces the need for disposable cameras on reception tables and maximizes the perspective of a wedding.”

Justin Fredericks, founder of Marriage.com and Capsule user, admits, “Brides are always happy when they adhere to their photography budget and capture as many quality photos as possible. I like the fact that Capsule addresses both of these needs and gives the bride and groom immediate access to photos of their big day.”

Much more than a wedding photo app, Capsule offers the wedding party a platform to interact, comment, and share. Capsule members can also order prints, download hi-resolution copies, and share to social networks directly from the website.
