The Doe Run Company welcomed four employees to its Southeast Missouri Mining and Milling Division (SEMO) in July. The new team members bring technical experience to continue advancing the company’s underground mining operations.
Adam Kresler, of Winter Park, Colo., has returned to SEMO and accepted a management role as a mine superintendent at Doe Run’s Casteel mine. In this position, he will provide leadership to help employees safely and efficiently achieve their production goals. Kresler’s prior roles included managing several key functions, such as project management, training program facilitation and mining shift supervision. He most recently worked for Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. in Phoenix, Ariz. Kresler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) in Rolla, Mo.
Dana Hummell, of Overland Park, Kan., has been hired as a SEMO mine planner, where she will guide long-term mine planning projects. Hummell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering from Missouri S&T, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. She previously worked at Physicians Reference Laboratory in Overland Park, Kan., Clinical Reference Laboratory in Lenexa, Kan., and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in Topeka, Kan.
Sammi Turner, of Bunker, Mo., has returned to SEMO for a position as a warehouse clerk. She will be responsible for receiving materials at Doe Run’s SEMO warehouse and maintaining an accurate inventory of parts for the division. Turner attended East Central College in Union, Mo.
David Lunsford, of Boss, Mo., has also been appointed to oversee deliveries and inventory as a SEMO warehouse clerk. Lunsford graduated second in his class from the U.S. Army Missile and Ordnance School in Fort Gordon, Ga., and gained previous warehouse experience at Rogers-Premier in Rocky Mount, N.C.
