Charlotte, NC, Aug. 21, 2012 - Today, The Brixton Group, Inc. announced that Inc. magazine (http://www.inc.com) recognized and ranked the Charlotte based, IT services contracting firm 263rd (of 5,000) on its 31st annual Inc. 500 list; an elite national ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Additionally, Brixton ranked 25th (of 698) within the IT Services industry segment and 7th (of 127) overall within the state of North Carolina. The annual list (compiled by Inc. and Inc.com) represents a recognition and celebration of the remarkable achievements of today's entrepreneurial superstars—the privately held small businesses that help drive the nation’s economy. Brixton joins the 2012 list with other new members, such as Facebook, CDW, and Levi Strauss. Past notable alumni include Microsoft, Intuit, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known firms who gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500.

"To rank among the 2012 Inc. 500, your company had to thrive thru three of the toughest years this economy has seen in living memory. Your success in such times is eloquent testimony to your team’s creativity, resilience, and tenacity.” says Inc. magazine Editor in Chief Eric Schurenberg.

"We are elated to be a part of the Inc. 500 list," said Andrew Sobel of The Brixton Group. "It’s an incredible achievement and milestone for us at Brixton, but we have much more work to do, which excites us even more.” The list, which represents the top tier of the Inc. 5000, is published in the latest issue of Inc., which is now on newsstands. The magazine's database of its top 500 and 5,000 fastest-growing private companies has also been posted online (Brixton Ranking).
