Short Documentary Film “BO” wins Best Documentary Short at the HollyShorts Film Festival

The 8th annual Hollyshorts Film Festival has announced its award winners last Friday, August 17th. For the Best Documentary Short Award, “BO”, released by MindGate TV Productions and Dreamsequences was selected.

“BO” is the latest media launch by MindGate TV, partnered with Dave Schwep, a Cinematographer, and a founder of Dreamsequences. The film was able to surpass over 1,000 submitted and 300 accepted short films to receive its recognition. The film “BO” was released in early 2012, and the HollyShorts Film Festival was their world premiere. Dave Schwep (Co-Director/ Cinematographer), Kelly McCoy (Co-Director/Editor), and Stephanie Butler (Associate Producer) participated in the award ceremony to receive the trophy.

Following the ceremony, Dave Schwep commented on his experience: "We are truly honored to receive Best Documentary Short from such a talented and energetic festival (HollyShorts)- and in our own backyard nonetheless! Thank you to everyone who came out to support myself, Kelly (McCoy), and Mr. Bo Hitchcock. Looking forward to sharing 'Bo' in future film festivals across the globe."
