Tawana Thomas sets out to provide poetic inspiration for women from all walks of life in her new collection, “Water My Words” (published by AuthorHouse).

Taking inspiration from the Christian poetry of William Blake, Thomas Moore and William Butler Yeats, Thomas has penned a collection written for the modern woman. Her poems speak to their particular challenges and her female perspective gives the poems a relatable, accessible quality.

Approximately 20 poems cover a broad spectrum of the female experience and are sure to resonate with readers struggling to find faith and free themselves from the shackles of a painful past.

An excerpt from the poem, “He Is”:

“He is the beauty that radiates from my smile, the glow that purifies the blemishes, deeply rooted beneath His

He is the Blood that commands my destiny; I am
because HE IS!”

“I was inspired to write this book for women who define themselves by past mistakes and lack the courage to move beyond the obstacles of yesterday,” Thomas writes. “For years, I held on to personal failure and struggled to move forward. My faith in God kept me in motion and delivered me from oppressive thoughts. I want to share this hope with women across the world.”
