Green Key Global announced today that it has awarded Hyatt Regency Houston with its sought-after 4 Green Key rating for its continued leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through an array of policies and practices.
The wide-ranging sustainable practices that the downtown Houston hotel has been recognized for include allowing guests to opt out of having their linens and towels washed during their stay, supplying housekeeping with energy-efficient cleaning equipment, and making biodegradable amenities available in all guestrooms.
“We’re extremely honored to have received this recognition from Green Key Global,” says Steve Trent, Hyatt Regency Houston’s Managing Director. “We take great pride in our dedication to going green and in being a respected eco-friendly hotel.”
In addition to receiving a 1-5 Green Key rating, hotels are given valuable tips by Green Key Global on how to reduce environmental impact, as well as operating costs, via employee training and supply chain management.
