For the fourth straight year, Revel Consulting supported the Foster Kids 5K, an annual charity 5K race, with financial support, pro bono consulting services, and race-day volunteers to increase opportunities for foster children. In preparation for the August 18th race at Redmond’s Marymoor Park, Revel’s associates provided Foster 5K organizers support on event coordination and marketing. This year’s race raised more than $14,000 from over 345 racers for the Hope Alliance for Kids, providing foster children in King County with the ability to attend a summer camp filled with life-changing experiences and fun.
“We have truly enjoyed our partnership with the Foster 5k. Revel’s sustainable giving program is a platform for associates to share knowledge and skills, enabling the Foster Kids 5k to further accelerate its growth and impact,” said Vikas Kamran, CEO of Revel Consulting. “This fundamental principle is at the core of Revel. We’re excited to help the next generation recognize their dreams.”
Thanks in part to the numerous hours of consulting services provided by Revel, the Foster Kids 5K has grown in popularity and donations since it began in 2009, when it raised $4,000 net profit for the Royal Family Kids Camp and had 100 registrants including kids.
“Revel goes above and beyond being just a sponsor by dedicating their time to help us with marketing and problem-solving. They are dedicated to our success,” said Adrienne Oliphant, Foster Kids 5K Co-Race Director. “We are so thankful that Revel continues to be our partner, and look forward to years of partnership with their team.”
Revel’s work with the Foster Kids 5K is part of the firm’s unique Sustainable Giving program which supports area non-profit organizations by going beyond traditional monetary donations and providing consulting services that help ensure non-profits can sustain their cause over the long run. Along with the Foster Kids 5K, Revel also supports Roses and Rosemary, Treehouse for Kids, and City Year.
